A rich and varied experience across several of the country’s most iconic regions.
This 12-day itinerary in Thailand allows you to adapt to the rainy season that settles over the Andaman coast between May and November. During this period, it is advisable to head toward the Gulf of Thailand if you wish to enjoy the Kingdom’s islands and beaches.
Although rain is also present in the north, it is generally less intense than in the south, and this time of year offers lush landscapes, waterfalls full of water, and vibrant green rice fields.
Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai, and finally Koh Phangan are the main destinations of this itinerary, which we present below.
Bangkok – “Street Food” & the capital’s must-sees (D1-D2)
Welcomed by our driver at Bangkok International Airport, you will then be transferred to your hotel with a pool, located in the heart of Bangkok’s Chinatown, “Grand China BKK”.
In the early evening, meet your French-speaking guide for a private tuk-tuk food tour, discovering Bangkok’s “Street Food”.
The following day, meet your French-speaking guide for a full day of private visits to the capital’s famous landmarks.
Visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the Emerald Buddha. Discover Wat Pho, famous for its immense golden reclining Buddha measuring 46 meters long.
After a good lunch in a local restaurant, you will board the “Chao Phraya Express” to reach the final temple of the day, the famous Wat Arun. Then, enjoy a boat ride along the canals (the famous “khlongs”) aboard your longtail boat in the oldest part of Bangkok, where daily life has changed very little over the past century.
Second and final night in the heart of Chinatown, in your “Superior” room.






Visit of Ayutthaya & night train to Chiang Mai (D3)
After breakfast at your hotel and check-out, your driver will take you to Ayutthaya.
Arrival in Ayutthaya late in the morning and lunch in a local restaurant at your own expense.
In the early afternoon, you will depart for a tuk-tuk tour with an English-speaking driver to visit the most remarkable ancient temples of this former capital of the Kingdom of Siam, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At the end of the visit, you will be transferred to the train station to board your overnight train to Chiang Mai (second-class sleeper; first class available with supplement and subject to availability).




Chiang Mai – Cooking class & city temples (D4-D5)
Upon arrival at the train station, you will be transferred to your hotel with a pool in the city center, “Estia Chiangmai”.
Free day to rest or explore the area at your own pace.
In the late afternoon, you will attend a Thai cooking class in French: the dishes you prepare will be your dinner.
Return to your hotel in the evening with your recipe booklet and certificate of participation, and overnight in your “Superior” room.
The next day, after breakfast at your hotel, depart for a private guided tour of Chiang Mai’s must-see sites with a French-speaking guide.
You will discover the beauty of Wat Phrasing, Wat Chedi Luang, and Wat Palat, the forest temple.
In the late morning, you will visit the large Warorot Market. Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant.
In the early afternoon, you will head to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in Chiang Mai, overlooking the city from the mountains.
Second night at your “Estia Chiangmai” hotel.






Stay in a Karen village – Local life & elephants (D6-D7)
After breakfast, departure for a homestay among the Karen, the largest hill tribe in northern Thailand.
The Karen are deeply committed to environmental preservation and mainly live from agriculture.
You will be welcomed into a charming and comfortable guesthouse run by Pen, an English-speaking Karen woman.
After settling in, you will have lunch on site, then go for a walk to visit the Karen village and discover their way of life through encounters with the locals.
Upon your return, Pen will give you a Karen cooking class, and you will then enjoy the dishes you have prepared.
The evening will end around a campfire, likely accompanied by songs and guitar.
A restful night awaits you in comfortable accommodations (private bathrooms, fan-cooled rooms).
The next day, you will have an ethical encounter with elephants, which villagers have considered almost part of their family for generations.
After breakfast, Pen’s uncle will pick you up to spend the day with the elephants: you will be able to feed them and bathe with them in the river. They will then return to the forest where they live freely.
End of your immersion stay in the early afternoon and private transfer back to your hotel with a pool in Chiang Mai city center, “Estia Chiangmai”.

From North to South – Koh Phangan, on land & at sea (D8-D11)
After breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to Chiang Mai Airport for your late morning flight to Surat Thani.
Upon arrival, our driver will take you to Donsak pier (approximately 1h30 drive) for your Seatran ferry to Koh Phangan (arrival around 8:00 PM).
Check-in at your hotel with a pool, “Baan Kiao”, where you will stay for four nights in a “Superior” bungalow.
The next day is free to relax or enjoy the many optional activities: explore the island and reach beaches such as Mae Haad, Chaloklum and its fishing village, or Thong Nai Pan; take a Muay Thai class; visit Ang Thong Marine National Park; admire the sunset from “Amsterdam Bar”; visit the Thongsala night market…
Your second day will be dedicated to discovering the coastline and marine life of northern Koh Phangan.
You will embark on a private full-day sea excursion with your longtail boat and English-speaking captain. Your adventure will begin at Haad Salad Beach and continue to Mae Haad, connected by a beautiful sandbank to Koh Ma island, passing by Haad Khom.
After lunch in Chaloklum, relax and enjoy spectacular beach landscapes, especially at Bottle Beach, a stunning and secluded beach accessible mainly by boat.
Your third and final day on the island will be dedicated to exploring the jungle and local life with your expert English-speaking local guide.
During an easy jungle walk, he will introduce you to the richness of the flora and fauna he knows perfectly.
Medicinal and edible plants will no longer hold any secrets for you! You will reach a secluded waterfall where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and a delicious picnic.
After this revitalizing break, continue your journey to meet local farmers near the jungle and discover their way of life and work.
In the heart of coconut plantations, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious fresh juice to conclude this day full of discoveries!

Return to Bangkok (D12) and departure from Thailand
Breakfast at your hotel, check-out, and transfer back to Thong Sala pier for your Lomprayah high-speed catamaran to Donsak (arrival around 9:30 AM).
Private transfer to Surat Thani Airport for your early afternoon flight to Bangkok Don Mueang.
Transfer from Don Mueang Airport to your hotel “Klub Hotel”, located near the Airport Rail Link, very convenient for reaching Suvarnabhumi Airport the next day.
