North East: the Mekong river

From Bangkok, the unique experience of an overnight train will take you to Udon Thani, from where you will continue to Nong Khai, with stops along the way to visit a coconut plantation, a local chocolate factory, and discover the Sala Kaew Ku park.

On the way to Sangkhom, enjoy a morning boat ride on Wang Bua Daeng Lake, followed by a walk along the Skywalk at Wat Pa Tak Suea, offering stunning panoramic views.

In Chiang Khan, the Mekong River takes center stage: at sunrise from the surrounding hills, at sunset while cruising its waters, or along its banks by bicycle.

You will have a memorable encounter with the Tai Dam, an ethnic group from Southeast Asia, with whom you will stay and share local craft activities.

The program concludes with a visit to Tham Erawan cave before returning to Udon Thani for the continuation of your journey, offering a complete immersion in this picturesque region of the Kingdom.
